On Saturday, November 23, the third edition of the Merhaba Eindhoven festival will take place at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, celebrating Turkish culture. The highlight of the day is a concert by the popular Turkish rock band maNga. In 2010, maNga gained worldwide fame by finishing second at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song ‘We Could Be The Same’. This special event marks the band’s 20th anniversary and is their only concert in the Netherlands! The afterparty will be hosted by Music from the Orient and DJ Blue Flamingo.

maNga

Headliner

Even after twenty years, maNga remains one of the most popular bands in Turkey. The band seamlessly blends rock, hip-hop, electronic, and traditional Turkish music. In 2009, they won the MTV EMA award and have since shared the stage with artists like Limp Bizkit and Queensrÿche. They have performed at renowned festivals such as Sziget in Budapest and the Turkish Rock Festival in Mannheim. In 2010, maNga represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest and finished in second place, marking the start of their international breakthrough. Their latest album, ‘Antroposen 002,’ demonstrates that maNga continues to reinvent themselves, which is why they have remained at the top of the Turkish music scene for so long.
