What if Mozart lived in 2025? He’d probably play in a rock band, stir up scandals, and go viral on TikTok. In John Giovanni, opera’s most notorious womanizer gets a modern makeover. Don becomes John: an overblown rock star who thinks he can get away with anything. Pynarello drags Mozart’s masterpiece out of the museum and hurls it through a rock storm of drums, bass, and wailing saxophones. The famous overture hits harder than it did in 1787, and Deh Vieni Alla Finestra shifts from a seductive mandolin serenade to a ripping guitar solo. Mozart meets the Stones—and they love it.

On stage: pop singer Dorona Alberti (Gare du Nord) as the woman out for revenge, and The Voice winner Jim van der Zee as the would-be knight in shining armor. On the big screen: Jiskefet legend Michiel Romeyn as the repulsive John Giovanni. Stage and film engage in a hilarious dialogue, with Pynarello providing the anarchistic soundtrack. The result: a vibrant hour where opera, film, humor, and rock collide—made for anyone who dares to laugh at men with oversized egos. For lovers of Mozart and today’s music. For fans of Jiskefet and opera alike.

GLOW Eindhoven

The annual light art festival GLOW transforms the streets of Eindhoven into a dazzling light spectacle from Saturday, November 8 to Saturday, November 15. With over 750,000 visitors attending during this week, the city center of Eindhoven will be extra busy. In addition, there are currently many roadworks taking place in the city center. We therefore recommend using an up-to-date route planner when planning your trip and allowing extra travel time to reach MgE.

From Saturday, November 8 to Saturday, November 15, several roads in the city center will be closed to through traffic daily from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Our advice
If possible, we advise you not to travel by car to the concert. Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is within walking distance of Eindhoven Central Station, and trains continue to run after the concert. Alternatively, you can come by bike and park it for free in the bicycle parking facility at 18 Septemberplein. See all bicycle parking locations and opening hours here.

Would you still prefer to come by car? We recommend parking in one of the Q-Park garages or at a Park & Ride (P+R) location and continuing your journey by public transport. Check out the recommended transport and parking options here.
