The Colombian-Dutch guitarist Ronny deCarlo combines soulful guitar with hip-hop, EDM, and film music. His style includes influences from funk, boom bap, nu-metal, Ennio Morricone, and trapsoul. In 2023, he won ‘The Records’ from the Keep an Eye Foundation, enabling him to record his debut album “Fonque Nouveau.” This album mixes live funk/gospel with an acoustic/electric sound and is nominated for an Edison Award in the Newcomer Jazz category! In November, Ronny will perform for the first time at Blue Note ClubSessions, along with Jelle Willems (keys), Misha Voeykov (bass), and Noah Bouwman (drums).
Schedule
The doors of M open at 4:00 PM, giving you the chance to enjoy a drink and a jazz DJ. The concert starts at 5:00 PM and lasts until 6:15 PM. To wrap things up nicely, the jazz DJ will play until 7:00 PM.
