In the evening, you can attend a concert by the Polish rock band Myslovitz.

Want to attend both the afternoon and evening festivals? Just purchase your ticket for the evening and add a Jarmark ticket during checkout for only โ‚ฌ2!

The Jarmark programme will be announced on this page in the coming weeks. Are you an entrepreneur yourself, or would you like to perform during the Jarmark? If so, please get in touch with the organisers.

Dance group Syrena

The Polish song and dance group Syrena from Brunssum was founded in 1957, emerging from the community of Polish emigrants who came to work in the coal mines around Heerlen (South Limburg) in the early 20th century. Even today, a large part of the group consists of children from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations of these emigrants. Syrena offers a dazzling and colourful introduction to Polish folklore. Dressed in beautiful, authentic costumes from various regions of Poland, the group presents a feast for the eyes and ears. Thanks to the wide variety of traditional clothing, dance styles, and music, their performance remains captivating from start to finish. The group is led by Yvonne Rodenburg-Cierniak, who, together with Stefan Cierniak and Dariusz Rodenburg, provides artistic direction. Yvonne received her training in Poland itself.

Kapela Banachy

Kapela Banachy is a folk band from Heerlen. We mainly play traditional music from the northern part of the Carpathians, particularly from southern Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. Our repertoire includes lively, high-energy polkas as well as melancholic, virtuosic czardas tunes. What matters most to us is the joy we feel when playing this music and that joy is clearly visible on stage! From time to time, weโ€™re joined by family and friends during our performances for a little extra support.

Ewa Niepokulczycka

Ewa Niepokulczycka has lived in the Netherlands for over thirty years and writes powerful stories about labour migration, identity, and human resilience. As a reintegration coach and someone with lived experience, she knows the world of migrant workers from the inside out.
