TROMP Percussion Eindhoven brings together the greatest percussionists from around the world, a mix of styles, and musical innovation every two years. Friday, November 15 & Saturday, November 16
Learn the fine details from true masters in this impressive series of workshops and masterclasses! Confirmed masters for this edition include Marta Klimasara, Arnold Marinissen, Niti Ranjan Biswas, Yi-Ping Yang, Michael Burritt, Marcelo Woloski, Momoko Kamiya, the percussion legends from HIIIT, and TROMP 2022 winner Gabriel Michaud. TROMP International Percussion Competition 2024
9-17 November
Visit all rounds except for the final free of charge at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, or follow the TROMP Competition via livestream on www.tromppercussion.com.
1st Round
Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 November
In the 1st Round of the TROMP International Percussion Competition the selected participants each give a performance of max. 20 minutes. The individual programmes consist of one selected work from the required repertoire for set-up and a work for vibraphone of one’s own choice.

2nd Round
Monday 11 November
After performing in the first round, all candidates will continue to the Second Round. In this round the participants also compete for the Willem Vos Award for the best rendition of a composition for marimba solo by a composer from The Netherlands.

Semi-finals
Wednesday 13 & Thursday 14 November
In the Semi Finals the remaining participants compete for a spot in the Final of TROMP 2024. Each participant compiles a programme for a recital for solo percussion. The individual programmes must consist of:
- a new compulsory work by Aart Strootman, commissioned by TROMP
- at least one work for mallets of one’s own choice
- at least one work for set-up of one’s own choice

Final
Sunday 17 November
Participants who reach the final will perform a programme consisting of a new compulsory work for solo percussion and chamber orchestra, by David Dramm and Martin Fondse. Furthermore, finalists will perform a work for solo percussion of their own choice.
