Attention: this concert has been rescheduled from 12:00 to 16:30.
On a slim, fast racing bike, with blonde curls flowing and a bassoon under his arm, Bram van Sambeek is a musician who defies boundaries and categories. Alongside Rick Stotijn, another artist who thinks outside the box, and pianist Hans Eijsackers, they present a cross-over program that spans from Piazzolla to Sinatra.
Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin once praised Bram van Sambeek, saying: “He can fall in love with many aspects of music and he imposes no limits on himself.” About Rick Stotijn, he said: “Rick is a versatile musician with passionate musicality and overwhelming virtuosity.” Together, they perform Bottesini’s Great Duo for double bass and also share the solo position in Piazzolla’s ‘Winter’ from The Four Seasons.
After the concert, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with some treats, included with your ticket.
