Today, Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is entirely dedicated to the international community. Between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, discover a world of music, dance, ideas, and culture. Let yourself be swept away by contemporary classical music, move along during an Indonesian dance workshop, think along about the role of AI in art, and get a taste of the rich tradition of Spanish classical music. 13:15 – 14:00 Mini-lesson and concert: Getting acquainted with contemporary classical music
Contemporary composers produce an incredibly varied and surprising repertoire.
Teacher Toon Kessels and conductor Lucas Vis take the audience on a journey through this adventurous soundscape. With a mini-concert by the ensemble CoMA Eindhoven.
14:30 – 15:00 Presentation and workshop: Indonesian dance
At the invitation of Indonesian teacher Ine Waworunto, three dancers from Madaloka Dansstudio will perform several traditional Indonesian dances, after which anyone who wishes can come and join in. For all ages.
15:30 – 16:00 Teaser and discussion: Artificial intelligence (AI) and art: a creative revolution?
Can art be created with the help of artificial intelligence? Teacher Pieter van Klaveren will show surprising examples of AI in the art world. Together with the audience, he will explore the boundaries between technology, creativity, and artistry.
16:30 – 17:00 Course Teaser: Música Clásica de España
Spain has produced a unique and magnificent classical music culture that is
a rich blend of centuries-old Moorish influences, exuberant folk music, and powerful
religious traditions. Lecturer Coen Jansen gives a preview of his course, which starts in
September.
