On March 14, 2025, Herman van Veen will celebrate his 80th birthday. This artist from Utrecht began his remarkable career in 1965 with the solo program *Harlekijn* and has since become a cultural icon. Van Veen has produced no fewer than 180 CDs, 80 books, 24 plays, and a series of paintings. In honor of his birthday, he will perform the show *Eighty Years* at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. The program remains a surprise, but his performances always garner praise: “Enchanting” – NRC ★★★★, “Van Veen seems immortal” – AD ★★★★, “Back as if he never left, striking and dynamic” – Dagblad van het Noorden ★★★★★.
