Karsu Dönmez, better known as Karsu, is the next artist in the long-standing New Year’s tradition of Amsterdam Sinfonietta. With her unique blend of pop, jazz, and Turkish music, Karsu has performed in over twenty countries, including three appearances at Carnegie Hall in New York, at the North Sea Jazz Festival, and as a headliner at our jazz festival *So What’s Next* in 2022. In 2021, millions of Dutch viewers watched her shine on *Beste Zangers*. Her renditions of ‘Hijo de la Luna’ and ‘Je Suis Malade’ (a duet with Belle Perez) topped various charts. In January, Karsu returns to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, where her music will uniquely blend with the strings of Amsterdam Sinfonietta during the New Year’s tour.
