“The Katona Twins not only share a stunning virtuoso technique but also an uncanny ability to play in perfect harmony. They are not just identical on the outside; Peter and Zoltán know how to put on a great show with their playing and charming stage presence” (The Times). And about Noé Inui: “A talent destined for a brilliant career” (La Nacion), “he liberated this masterpiece from the usual clichés and emphasized the glowing melodic and harmonic richness” (Neue Rhein Zeitung on Noé’s performance of Bruch’s violin concerto).

The oldest piece on the program is Introduction and Fandango by the 18th-century Italian composer Boccherini, who moved to Spain. In 1914, Manuel de Falla composed Siete canciones populares españolas, a work that sounds beautiful in any arrangement. Albéniz and Granados, also from the early 20th century, blend more modern sounds into their unmistakably Spanish idiom.
