Liesbeth List and Ramses Shaffy are inseparably linked to the history of Dutch music. Their collaboration in the 1960s and 1970s created a rare balance of emotion, poetry, and musicality. While Shaffy was known for his raw, expressive style and his urge for freedom, List brought a refined and sensitive depth to his work. Together, they elevated the Dutch chanson to a higher artistic level. With songs such as “Laat me,” “Pastorale,” and “Shaffy Cantate,” they left a lasting impression on the collective memory. Pim Muda (as Ramses Shaffy) and Sabine Krol (as Liesbeth List) perform this renowned repertoire with great conviction, accompanied by a live orchestra including a string ensemble. A performance filled with longing, freedom, surrender, and humor.
