The Rotterdam Nederbeat band The Kik has proven to be one of the most versatile bands in the Netherlands. With their new album Bal Populaire, Dave Von Raven and his bandmates return to original material, featuring ten original songs and two covers. Expect an evening full of Dutch ballads, sentimental songs, and tearjerkers. The band—consisting of singer Dave von Raven, bassist Marcel Groenewegen, guitarist Arjan Spies, drummer Ries Doms, and keyboardist Paul Zoontjens—has been operating out of Rotterdam since 2011. In 2013, they were the house band on De Wereld Draait Door and have since played numerous club tours and festivals.
