The Waterboys

Since the 1980s, The Waterboys have been led by Scottish singer and guitarist Mike Scott, who has built up a unique musical legacy with varying line-ups. The current band combines folk, rock, soul, and funk with an Irish rhythm section and double keyboards, performing an energetic mix of classics such as “The Whole of the Moon” and “Fisherman’s Blues” alongside the adventurous work of recent years.

Artists such as Prince, U2, The Killers, and Ellie Goulding have covered their iconic songs, and “The Whole of the Moon” has been featured in popular shows such as Let It Snow and The Affair. This year, the band is touring with their new album Life, Death And Dennis Hopper, a tribute to the idiosyncratic American actor, on the legendary Sun Records. In addition to the songs from their new album, the real Waterboys classics will of course be included!

GLOW Eindhoven

The annual light art festival GLOW transforms the streets of Eindhoven into a dazzling light spectacle from Saturday, November 8 to Saturday, November 15. With over 750,000 visitors attending during this week, the city center of Eindhoven will be extra busy. In addition, there are currently many roadworks taking place in the city center. We therefore recommend using an up-to-date route planner when planning your trip and allowing extra travel time to reach MgE.

Road Closures
From Saturday, November 8 to Saturday, November 15, several roads in the city center will be closed to through traffic daily from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Our advice
If possible, we advise you not to travel by car to the concert. Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is within walking distance of Eindhoven Central Station, and trains continue to run after the concert. Alternatively, you can come by bike and park it for free in the bicycle parking facility at 18 Septemberplein. See all bicycle parking locations and opening hours here.
