Three women and five men in the spotlight on an otherwise empty stage, with breathless listening in the Hertog Jan Hall. The British singers of Voces8 sing purely and without accompaniment, often described as the Rolls-Royce of a cappella ensembles. “Ultimate control, crystal-clear sound, and tight harmonies,” is how de Volkskrant described them.

This season, Voces8 celebrates its twentieth anniversary. Over two decades, Voces8 has grown into a globally renowned ensemble with many facets. They have performed in prestigious concert halls such as Wigmore Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Tokyo Opera City in Japan, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Additionally, they run an extensive education program, have their own studios, and even a dedicated online academy where you can experience what it’s like to sing along. This concert program will be a celebration, featuring highlights from four centuries of vocal music from around the world, ranging from Rachmaninov to Mendelssohn and from Bach to Nat King Cole.
