Each edition of Club Solange brings singer Solange Rose together with a couple of talented artists and singers, each with their own story. The evening’s music is carefully selected and holds personal significance for Solange and her guests. Club Solange is therefore more than just a concert: it is an experience where music and personal stories come together. The programme ranges from raw blues and soulful soul to well-known pop songs given a fresh twist and danceable hits. In addition, Solange invites a special guest to every edition. This time, Solange will share the stage with artists Mandela Kunta Wee Wee, Iris Penning, and Emile.
The theme of this edition is “The Art of Expression”. This evening is all about how we express ourselves as human beings: through music, song, language, rhythm, sound and conversation. There is also a focus on mental health and other art forms. After all, how important is it to have an outlet and to be able to express yourself? At a time when so much is happening in the world and tension is palpable, Club Solange offers a place for tranquillity and connection. Here, music and expression can serve as an outlet, a source of support and a wellspring of inspiration.
Solange Rose
About the host
Singer Solange Rosendaal is a proud resident of Eindhoven, where she is dedicated to helping others realise their musical dreams. Solange herself was once hailed as “one of the greatest discoveries of Club Dauphine” in Amsterdam by talent scout Martijn Roos, and praised for her vocal sound by none other than Frank McComb, with whom she has shared the stage. She also performed as the support act for Berget Lewis. With Club Solange, her own musical dream is coming true: an evening where music takes on a deeper meaning through the personal stories of the artists.

Mandela Kunta Wee Wee
Actor and creator Mandela Kunta Wee Wee, known from Mocro Maffia and Penoza, among others, joins this edition of Club Solange as a guest speaker. In everything he does, expression is central, beyond words, straight from the heart. With his background in dance and acting, he moves between silence and power, between what is visible and what lies within. Tonight, Mandela shares his vision on expression: an invitation to let go of what you think you must be and to appear as you truly are. You will also meet his alter ego Bush W. Creole — a space for unfiltered, healing creativity.

Iris Penning
Welcome to Iris Penning’s Brain Pub. With her clear voice, poetic gaze, and warm stage energy, she takes you on a journey through melody and poetry. As Eindhoven’s longest-serving city poet (2020–2024) and through her hard work since a young age, she has rightfully stood on stages thousands of times, from Lowlands to Oerol, from Paradiso to intimate living rooms; performing is her greatest love. Her first poetry collection, ‘Sta ik hier een trui te zijn tussen alle stropdassen’ (Am I standing here wearing a sweater among all the ties), a collection of her city poet work, was recently published. Her latest album, ‘Dan Maar Genieten’ (Just Enjoying It Then), created with top musicians and producers from the Netherlands, was also received with acclaim. Iris moves effortlessly between disciplines and genres, always driven by curiosity and a heart that cannot sit still.

Emile
Music has always been a natural part of Emile’s life. Starting from soul, R&B, rock, and jazz fusion, he first developed as a bassist, driven by rhythm and harmony. His path took a different turn when, at a young age, he unexpectedly filled in as a singer. What began as a coincidence turned out to be exactly his place. It was during that period that his alter ego Miliano emerged, an expressive, stage-oriented powerhouse. Today, those two come together: the energy of Miliano and the authenticity of Emile. In his music and performance, everything revolves around expression, showing what lives within. Today, he presents a contribution in which personal and societal stories intersect, including a work about the history of Moluccans in the Netherlands. His goal is clear: to touch, connect, and leave something behind that reaches beyond the moment itself.
