Duo GuitArr. consists of Estonian guitarist Kelly Johannes and Dutch guitarist Sijbrand Loot. The duo was formed at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where they both study with Gabriel Bianco. Based in Amsterdam, they are expanding the repertoire for classical guitar with their own arrangements of masterpieces from the piano repertoire. During this concert, the classical guitar is presented in a new light as you discover the instrument’s endless possibilities through gems from the piano repertoire. From Bach’s Baroque music to Romantic highlights by Brahms, Schumann, Strauss and Rachmaninoff, and 20th-century works by Ravel and Bartók. Let yourself be surprised by the intimate yet versatile sound of the classical guitar.
After the concert
A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket!

Lunchtime concerts
Our lunchtime concerts are a delight to experience: both literally and figuratively! Taking a break in the middle of the day to relax for an hour with a nice concert in the Small Hall really makes the day feel refreshing. From piano recitals to chamber music and brass ensembles, the offerings are varied and innovative. Since we believe that emerging talent deserves a platform, our lunchtime concerts feature (recently graduated) students, competition winners, and other promising gems.
