With two very different works, the Eindhoven Oratorio Society, under the direction of Geert Broeksteeg, conveys various human emotions on stage. Johannes Brahms expresses the grief after losing loved ones, but also lets hope and especially comfort be heard. Herman Finkers wrote the Sint Jorismis for his wedding. It was later orchestrated and is described as melodic and accessible. The renewed version has become popular with choirs and audiences, also because of its humor, which can be heard throughout the music. Eindhovense Oratorium Vereniging is accompanied by the Holland Symphony Orchestra.
