And when you say Viennese waltz, you say Johann Strauss Jr.! It just so happens that 2025 marks the 200th birthday of the Waltz King. This New Year’s concert by Philzuid is the best way to give the new year a flying start.
The Taiwanese conductor Mei-Ann Chen – who has close ties with Austria – will ring in 2025 with a dazzling program centered around Johann Strauss. Who doesn’t get a thrill from The Blue Danube, and can you stay seated during the overture from Die Fledermaus? With soprano Maartje Rammeloo and our very own Philzuid flutist Tony Cabedo Cervera, this will be a concert you won’t forget for the rest of the year!
