Things are going wild in Lampegat! Get ready, hold on tight and warm up those vocal cords! Because Philcarnavalesk is turning Lampegat into a real zoo! Chickens clucking, horses rearing, a wolf howling, cats meowing, ducks quacking and mosquitoes buzzing around your ears. From bats and fireflies to the Pink Panther, Speedy Gonzales and an elephant charging through the concert hall or joining the polonaise: nothing surprises us in Lampegat anymore! With soprano Maartje Rammeloo, host Leon van der Zanden, conductor Enrico Delamboye and soloists from Philzuid on stage, the roof is guaranteed to come off!
And as if that weren’t wild enough, we’re adding an extra dose of Lampegat Carnival with Eindhoven’s very own Dolle 3’s, The Tony’s, Henk van Beckum and the Bourgondisch Meidenkoor. Singing along is encouraged, sitting still is not! And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Carnival celebration without our very own City Prince(ss), their entourage and the Stadshofkapel. The doors of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven open as early as 7:11 PM. The carnival bands of the Eindhoven Federation will get the party started in the foyers and keep the festive atmosphere going with plenty of Carnival music after the concert. Put on your Carnival costume! Together, we’ll turn it into one big Lampegat celebration! Salaai!
