In collaboration with Benjamin Goodson, chief conductor of the Groot Omroepkoor, Philzuid will present an unforgettable St. Matthew Passion. They will receive inspiring support from top choirs such as Studium Chorale from Maastricht and Schola Puerorum from Den Bosch. Top soloists such as baritone Roderick Williams and soprano Sophie Bevan will also join them. British conductor Benjamin Goodson has worked with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the London Symphony Orchestra, and progressive directors such as Robert Wilson and Thomas Guthrie.

The popularity of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion is undisputed. For years, this masterpiece has topped NPO Klassiek’s Classical Top 400. For those who are or are not entirely familiar with classical music, the German Baroque master wrote an Easter oratorio that is unparalleled.
