‘As if God were sprinkling mosaic pieces from heaven and I just need to piece them together,’ wrote composer Jean Sibelius in his diary. In his magnificent Fifth Symphony, you experience the pristine Finnish nature in all its mystical beauty: white sunlight breaking through gray clouds, the melancholic song of departing cranes.
Pianist Alexandra Dovgan, described as ‘a wonder’ by master pianist Sokolov, excels in Schumann’s Piano Concerto. The colorful mosaic of this classical-romantic concert program is in the hands of the young Jiří Rožeň, described by Bachtrack as ‘an amazing rising talent.’ With the arrival of Jiří Rožeň and Alexandra Dovgan, we look forward to the debut of such promising youthful top talent at Philzuid!”
