When astronaut André Kuipers starts sharing his stories, you can usually hear a pin drop. However, during this extraordinary concert with Kamerata Zuid, that silence will be filled by the world-famous sounds of Gustav Holst’s ‘The Planets’. ‘A Musical Space Journey’ is a unique encounter between music, science, and a sense of wonder.
Kamerata Zuid performs ‘The Planets’ in an intimate arrangement for ten wind instruments and twelve strings, revealing new layers of detail and emotion. As both an astronaut and a storyteller, André shares fascinating insights into our solar system. His cosmic perspective sheds a unique light on Holst’s musical imagination.
To add an extra dimension to the experience, breathtaking visuals of the planets and deep space will be projected throughout the performance.
