Following previous editions centred around freedom, equality, education and expression, as well as the musical inner worlds of special guests, this edition of Club Solange shines a spotlight on the people who are there for our city day and night: the Heroes of the City. Police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel are the inspiration for this edition. Not because of their profession, but because of who they are as people. What music do they listen to on their way to an emergency? Which songs help them unwind after a difficult shift? What do they sing along to in the car, at the fire station or at the police station? Which music offers comfort, strength and relaxation – or gives them an extra boost of energy? During this edition, we celebrate the people behind the uniform with live music, personal stories, humour and moments of recognition.
Don’t expect an evening filled with lengthy interviews or heavy conversations, but rather a musical experience centred around connection, encounters and shared moments. The more in-depth conversations will take place in the Club Solange podcast. In putting together this evening, Solange draws inspiration from conversations and encounters with emergency service workers. Not everyone will appear on stage, but their stories, experiences and musical choices form the foundation of this special edition.Visitors can also look forward to special guests and guest speakers, who will each bring their own valuable contribution to the evening. An ode to the people who are there when it truly matters — and above all, to the person behind the profession, in whom we can all recognise something of ourselves.
Dave Vermeulen
Dave Vermeulen is a singer-songwriter, musician and frontman of Voltage. Since 2011, he has built an impressive career with his own music, rooted in southern rock, Americana and honest, true-to-life storytelling. Following his breakthrough on The Voice of Holland in 2015, he deliberately chose to follow his own artistic path, resulting in five studio albums, numerous club tours, major festival appearances and nationwide radio airplay. During his solo performances, it all comes down to the pure essence: powerful songs, personal stories and the authentic passion of an artist who lives to write and create music.
Studio Giftig
Wall Stories
Over the past twenty years, Studio Giftig has grown into an internationally renowned name in the world of street art. Their monumental murals can be found around the globe and have received numerous awards, including the ‘Best Mural in the World’ award twice. Their signature can also be seen on the façade of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven with Echoes of Harmony.
From 17 October to 14 November, their exhibition Wall Stories will be on display at M, offering a glimpse into their creative process through sketches, behind-the-scenes images and new work. During Club Solange, the artists of Studio Giftig will join the evening as guest speakers. They will talk about their art and the role music plays in their work, share their personal music choices and offer their perspective on the evening’s theme.

About the host
Singer Solange Rosendaal is a proud resident of Eindhoven, where she is dedicated to helping others pursue their musical dreams. Her own talent has earned widespread recognition: talent scout Martijn Roos once described her as “one of Club Dauphine’s greatest discoveries”, while acclaimed singer Frank McComb, with whom she has shared the stage, praised the remarkable quality of her voice. She has also performed as a support act for Berget Lewis.
With Club Solange, Solange is fulfilling a dream of her own: creating an evening where music takes on a deeper meaning through the personal stories behind the songs and the artists who perform them.
