The Dutch Brewhouse and percussionist SeongYeon Kong, second prize winner of the TROMP Percussion 2024 competition, perform music by neo-classical musician and composer Nils Frahm, under the direction of violinist Lonneke van Straalen. Frahm is one of the most adventurous and unconventional composers in this genre. His balanced music will be performed tonight in an ensemble featuring a string quartet and percussion. Minimalism and clarity remain present in this arrangement as well. Especially for this concert, Dutch film composer Matthijs Kieboom has composed new work. Kieboom is, among other accolades, a winner of the NaturVision Film Festival. His compositions ignite the imagination, allowing listeners to let their fantasy run free.
