Een diepe, soulvolle sound, verweven met elementen van folk en blues: zo klinkt de muziek van Sam Lewis. In Nashville ontwikkelde hij zijn onderscheidende stijl en in 2012 bracht hij zijn debuutalbum ‘Sam Lewis’ uit, dat meteen lovende kritieken ontving. Zijn muziek wordt vaak vergeleken met die van grootheden als Van Morrison, Bill Withers en Ray LaMontagne, dankzij zijn warme, emotioneel geladen stem en zijn talent om verhalen te vertellen via zijn liedjes. Sams uitzonderlijke talent bleef niet onopgemerkt. Niemand minder dan Chris Stapleton noemde hem ‘a modern Townes Van Zandt’. En dat is niet zonder reden!
Support act: David Rooker
De 21-jarige David Rooker begon op zijn tiende met muziek maken en bouwde sindsdien een indrukwekkende discografie vol sfeervolle, melancholische nummers op. In mei 2023 verscheen debuut-EP ‘Exodus’ met single ‘Magnolia Dream’, een authentieke pianoballad die veelvuldig werd gedraaid op Radio Veronica en NPO Radio 2. Tweede EP ‘Blue Octavo’, uitgebracht in februari 2024, diept het geluid van de eigenzinnige songwriter verder uit en resulteert opnieuw in succes: Rooker wordt geïnterviewd door De Telegraaf en single ‘The Sound’ wordt gedraaid door NPO 3FM en NPO Radio 2. Momenteel werkt de Utrechtse muzikant aan een volledig debuutalbum.
