Psychedelic cumbia, exotic film scores, and danceable grooves form the foundation of Chica Chica’s thrilling music. Bassist and frontwoman Judith Renkema (Alvaro Soler, Komodo, Judy Blank), guitarist Jeroen Kant, and drummer Ties Voskamp (Cocobolo) take you on a musical road trip during “Kaleidoscope,” featuring funky basslines, wild guitars, and South American percussion. After their debut in 2022, their first album was released at the end of 2023, including singles like “Disco L’Africain” and “Year of the Dragon,” both of which found a spot in the regular rotation on NPO Soul and Jazz. In early 2024, they dazzled audiences at Eurosonic Noorderslag and have since become a favorite at summer festivals. Later that year, the band toured the country during Popronde 2024. With their second album in the works, Chica Chica is definitely a band to watch!

Schedule

The doors of M open at 9:00 PM, giving you the chance to enjoy a drink and the music of Space Age DJ Collective. Chica Chica starts at 10:00 PM and will last until around 11:00 PM. After Chica Chica, Space Age DJ Collective will spin for another hour to complete the evening!
