FAA Composition Class

In New harvest, composition students from the Fontys Conservatory present their very latest music. The program features ten world premieres, written for student soloists and ensembles that are just as adventurous as the composers themselves. Some seek new colors within the classical idiom, while others explore the fringes of the craft with electronics, improvisation, or influences from outside the Western tradition. The students come from all corners of the globe, and it shows: their musical backgrounds are as diverse as their nationalities. What connects them is their love for the classical repertoire and the fact that all these works were created this academic year. Nieuwe Oogst offers a glimpse into the creative process of the makers of tomorrow: music that is still warm, full of individuality, experimentation, and uninhibitedness.

After the concert

A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket!
