Anna Mikhailova, a pianist from Maastricht and winner of international competitions in France and Italy, presents this afternoon program of classical piano music. She began her professional music studies at the age of five at the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory and completed her bachelor’s degree in Rome. The concert opens with refined works by French harpsichordists, followed by Rachmaninoff’s tragic variations on a baroque theme by Corelli, and concludes with the romantic, expressive music of Chopin and Tchaikovsky.
