Some people seem to be born to be singer-songwriters, and Otis Gibbs is undoubtedly one of them. His music tells stories about real people: drifters, nomads, unexpected heroes from back alleys, and the rural life of Indiana where he grew up. The daily life of East Nashville also finds its way into his songs. Live, Otis impresses with his raw voice, powerful performance, and the hilarious and touching anecdotes that bring his music even more to life. His work is pure and authentic, just as country and folk should be. Musically, he moves between Jimmie Rodgers, Woody Guthrie, and Townes Van Zandt. Additionally, he hosts the popular podcast Thanks For Giving A Damn, where he interviews peers from the roots and rock ‘n’ roll scene.
