Tuareg band Tinariwen is coming to the Effenaar during BRIDGE Guitar Festival Eindhoven! What started around campfires with homemade guitars has grown into a Grammy-winning band with a worldwide fanbase. Their music blends West African and Arabic influences with blues, folk, and rock, telling the story of a nomadic life filled with longing and struggle. One of their latest albums, “Amatssou,” merges desert blues with American country music, weaving banjos, fiddles, and pedal steel into their signature guitar riffs and hypnotic sound.

Dutch-Moroccan singer Roufaida blends tradition, poetry, and activism into boundary-pushing pop music. Inspired by her North African roots and Arabic poetry, she translates contemporary challenges into unconventional melodies and metaphorical lyrics. She has previously performed at festivals such as Down The Rabbit Hole, Into The Great Wide Open, and Noorderslag, and has shared the stage with artists like Xavier Rudd, Balthazar, Melody Gardot, and Eefje de Visser. The Rotterdam-based singer will release a new album this fall: “Coming Up For Air.” Tonight, she is the support act for Tinariwen at BRIDGE Guitar Festival Eindhoven!
