Soprano Ana-Carmen Balestra takes you on a musical journey through life, inspired by her Argentine roots. The program is based on her successful debut at the famous Wigmore Hall in London. It tells the story of life, from the beginnings and innocence of childhood, through longing love and heartbreaking loss, to appreciating the small moments of happiness in everyday life. In this complete music-theater performance, Ana-Carmen shares her personal story through passionate music and self-written texts. South American music, classical works, and contemporary compositions come together as one. With music by composers such as Poulenc, Piazzolla, Mercedes Sosa, and a new piece, she celebrates life in all its forms with the audience.
After the Concert
A lunchtime concert is, of course, not complete without a delicious lunch. After the concert, enjoy a flavorful homemade soup and freshly baked bread in the Stadsfoyer. You can add this directly to your ticket! Staying a bit longer? Great!
